Real Talk: Portfolio Day - Part II
It's been two weeks since I completed my ultimate final, my portfolio review! Professionals from all around came in to view the work that my class and I toiled over for the past few years. It was so much fun to look at the work and effort that my class put into their individual portfolios and you could see bits of them and their personality in everything!
The professionals that came by to see all of our work were a blast to speak with and answer their questions. Some gave great criticism, some were very complimenting and others were silently intimidating. I was nervous at the beginning but as the day went on I got more and more relaxed and I even got more confident in my decisions about why I did what I did in my portfolio! Nothing could have possibly brought me down!
I have to largely thank my Professors and all the adjunct faculty that also taught me over these past 5 years! So here's to you Leslie Friesen, Steve Skaggs, Brian Faust, Tom, Mark Rosenthal for teaching me everything you all know about design! Each of you freely imparted and shared your wisdom and knowledge about history, practices, theory, and passion!
Since portfolio day I've gone full time and I've been thinking about applying for jobs out of state! Seattle, Washington has always been a dream of mine! I've finished the rest of my finals and I've also went out with my design class for tacos at my professors home!
**Shoutout to you Leslie for making some of the best fish tacos I have ever had!
In the meantime I look forward to finally graduating in a week! I can't wait for the rest of my life to start!
